One presentation showed off pouches we can attach to our gear to add additional storage space. Another presentation showed a more limited inventory window made for easy looting. Will the two systems work together, or are pouches already being phased out in favor of a streamlined Squadron 42 inventory system?

There will be pouches. They are in concept. They will work with the inventory we're showing. There's some concepts to be on the looting as well. And that's all I know.
