How do you work to adapt or limit the lore you write into something that will become possible to actually create in the game?
We do our best.
A lot of it's conversations. Yeah, conversations. I would say good communication where we brainstorm.
If it seems like stuff's going to have gameplay implications, we will try to either get really cryptic in the stuff that we're talking about that's actually directly referencing gameplay, as well as just reach out to the design team, directors and stuff like that, and just say, hey, is this roughly accurate? Is this completely flying in the face of everything that we're heading towards? We would try to get buy-in basically from the other team members before writing anything. Because yeah, the last thing we want to do is throw out something arbitrarily that has massive gameplay implications, then have to walk it back, because people read our stuff pretty closely.
