What materials can the Odyssey refine, and does refined material go straight to the fuel tanks or the cargo bay?

The Odyssey can refine Quantanium and hydrogen into fuel. The refinery solely exists to extend the ship's range, so refined fuel goes straight to the fuel tanks rather than the cargo bay.
