Are there any plans to allow pilots to get up from the piloting seat without deactivating engines or propulsion?
TL;DRThe ship shutting down when a pilot leaves the seat is a networking bug, not an intended feature, which still needs a solution and will then be fixed.
Yeah, there's actually a bug. A bug that I have not been able to fix yet, but it's a bug, caused by the networking system, where the networking system for ships, we need to give control of the ship back to the server when you get out. And so when that happens, the server currently isn't being correctly told what the controls that you were giving it that were leading it to move. And so when you get out of the seat, the server is like, well, what am I supposed to do with the ship? And it just goes back to the default controls and then the ship will stop. But yeah, it's just a bug that we need to work through and figure out the best way to solve, and then it'll be fixed.
So not an intentional feature that when you get up, the ship just shuts down.
