What was the most difficult track that you remember working on? The one that eluded you the longest, the one that was the biggest struggle for you?
TL;DRThe hardest was the Mustang commercial with Chris Roberts, which took many versions, often complete reworks, and one version became a well-liked song later used in a trailer.
The biggest struggle was with Chris Roberts, on the track for the Mustang commercial. That was the hardest one. I did, I don't know, 37 versions of the track. And not just half versions. Many of them were complete reworks. Super hard to nail it. One of the versions is a song that many people like nowadays in Star Citizen, which was then used in the South by Southwest trailer, the first song. But that was actually initially made for the Mustang. And I really love the Mustang commercial because it has a really great line. The narrative is wonderful. I don't know who wrote it, but I felt it was Chris's mindset that was written there. Basically: Sam, if you dream small, you'll never get anywhere. Only if you go outside your limits can you maybe do something special. It's a commercial that actually describes what Star Citizen is. So it really felt special, and it was very special to Chris. And I think the score was quite nice in the end. I really liked it. It was me playing the piano on that one. It was just beautiful. I just loved it. It was the hardest one.
