How has the new focus on dungeon-style content changed design goals for FPS gameplay?

TL;DRThe dungeon-style focus hasn't really changed FPS design goals; it shifts the content being made toward defined experiences, while contested and PvP-oriented zones remain a focus.

So the quick answer is they haven't really. We've changed what content we are trying to make currently because before we started making the dungeons, we didn't really have any, and we've been taking a lot of time to try and start constructing these more defined locations where we want to take players through an experience. But that doesn't mean that we're going to stop making any of the other sort of more contested zones, PvP-oriented areas. That's still very much a thing that we're focused on. It's just we're trying to counteract the amount of content that is just general outposts versus defined experiences. We want to basically go from where previously we made locations to show off features, to just making locations that make use of features. Or just cool locations. Because I wanted to make a big ring station that you can ride a gondola around. So I did it. And that's coming out this month. It's so sick.
