Have there been any changes to decoupled mode in general that we want players to know about?
TL;DRDecoupled mode's mechanics are unchanged apart from many bug fixes, such as speed converting to throttle and nullified inputs, plus a new optional setting making decoupled a hold action.
Not in terms of gameplay mechanics. It functions like it did, except we fixed loads of bugs with it. There was an issue where when you were in decoupled and you came back into coupled, it would convert your decoupled speed into your coupled throttle. It doesn't do that anymore. Lots of issues with swapping between the two modes causing the ship to nullify your inputs. There were just a lot of issues with it, so it wasn't a very clean, nice experience. And so we've just cleaned it up. We've also got another option in the settings, which is not on by default, but if you want it, you can turn it on. It will make decoupled a hold action. So you press down the button and hold, and it'll be decoupled. And then when you let go, decoupled will disengage again, which is an interesting way to fly differently. So that option is there now if you want it.
