Is there going to be a true speed indicator that will show your actual velocity?
TL;DRThe new HUD works as a true speed indicator showing velocity in any direction, and players can now change the speed limit with the scroll wheel, with red marking speeds above combat maneuvering speed.
So this HUD is now your true speed indicator. If you strafe left and right, it is telling you your velocity in any direction that you're going. And furthermore, as a result, and I think there's another question there, you can actually change that speed limit. So Christopher, if you move your scroll wheel up and down, you can actually change that speed limit up and down. And so the ship will try. In the moment, because you're strafing, it is actually struggling to get itself back to the speed limit. But yeah, you can actually change the speed limit now, which is a pretty big change. I know a lot of people have asked for that. And so you can set it where you want. You'll also notice that it goes red. When it goes red, it means you're above the combat maneuvering speed, which is the recommended maneuvering speed for combat.
