Why are you adding items when we can't even equip shields?

That's because this is the system that is allowing us to equip those items, and we're starting off with something smaller than shields: coolers and power plants.

This is literally the fix to that issue.

Yes. The shields are a bit more robust because the new system, and we'll get into it later, involves several shields that work at different levels and stuff like that, so it's a much more complicated system. So we're starting off with the easy stuff so we can get the equipping and swapping out, and then we'll move into shields in the next patch. So that's why we're doing this first before the shields, because baby steps.
