For most games now, your CPU speed is more important than the number of cores your processor has. I just built an i7-5930K with six cores and hyper-threading. Do you think Star Citizen will use all of these cores better in the future, or will raw CPU speed still be most important?

Better in terms of scaling will be to have as many cores as you can. The future of most... well, I shouldn't say that at all. I just don't want to make an assumption like that. Parallelization is the big improvement as we move forward, and you'll see better and better utilization of the cores the longer we work on it. So I would say you'd want to get more cores. But again, there's a happy medium in there where it's like, yeah, don't get anything that's crazily slow but just completely parallelized, because it might be a lot slower. But yeah, we do a fairly good job of the multi-threading right now.

18 cores running at 700 MHz?

That'd be awful.

Yeah, I just built a computer and I definitely got the six cores in there, utilizing them full speed ahead.

Six cores with hyper-threading, you're fine.
