Will the tutorial be coming back?
TL;DRThe tutorial probably won't return in its current form because of significant control changes; after considering fixing it first, they decided against it and will likely make a largely different one later.
Probably not in the form it's in right now. Just in this build, there's been significant changes to the control and how the game does all sorts of things, so it will probably be a largely different tutorial when we get back to it.
This is a thing we've been talking about internally for months.
We have. There was a big outcry on Reddit, which I think is probably why it got put up in the meeting this week.
And not just Reddit, but forums.
Yeah, forums. And it's true. We want to put the best face of the game forward, and we're going to do a free fly for E3. So it makes sense to do it right now. No tutorial on the menu.
We've had so many conversations about it. I even had a conversation in Chris's office, just he and I. And we wanted to make sure that fixing it first wasn't the best option.
