The Defender had the tachyon weapons, the hitscan weapons, for a while. Do we intend those to come back?

For the Defender, probably not. They were a cool idea. They worked better on paper than they did in reality; they caused a lot more problems than they solved. Not so much the actual weapons themselves. It's the fact that they were bolted onto a very maneuverable ship. So we're still going to have tachyon weapons in the game, but they're almost certainly going to be more restricted to heavier ships, where having a hitscan weapon is less balance-problematic.
