Do the shop item kiosks allow us to implement new items without the bottleneck of waiting for new environments and physical shops to be added?

TL;DRItem kiosks matter because physical stores have limited space and can't display every item, so kiosks present all items normally while the rest sits in a storage facility out the back.

So one of the things that actually came to make the item kiosks very important is exactly as you say, the limited physical space that stores have. Let's just imagine that a store could have the thruster of a Reclaimer. That's like half the store right there. You're not going to walk in and go like, "Oh, I really like that thruster." "Yeah, don't worry. It's right there. You can't miss it." So it got to a point that we want to have a way where we can present all of the items that we want to sell to the player in a normal way instead of having a pile of coolers in the store. That would just not work. If you want the cooler on the top, well, you need to platform there. That is just not usable at all. So this is going to enable us... In reality, stores that have displays, sure, they show some items, they show clothes, but they also have a storage facility in the back, and we can store those items there like people do in reality, of course.
