Will the combined weight of armor, weapons, backpacks and other equipped gear on surfaces affect stamina, dehydration, etc.?

Jonny JaceviciusLead FPS Systems Designer

OK, so we're doing speed answers. It kind of links into what we just said. Some of it's already in. The stamina difference is there already. So if you're wearing heavier armor, your stamina is going to drain quicker as you're running around or sprinting. So light loadouts can sprint double the distance compared to heavy, for example. And that indirectly affects hunger and thirst as you're moving around, because you're going to be running for longer because you're going slower. But obviously, this is something we keep evaluating as we go: as more and more things are added to the actor status system, we need to take things like this into account.
