Currently the sound of a Polaris or an Idris hovering over the ground is almost silent. Will we see improvements to this aspect of audio? Sometimes we walk outside a location and there's just a big hovering Polaris, and I didn't even hear it because it was almost silent.
Simon Gershon · Audio Director, Star Citizen

This feeds into engaging with the flybys. The short answer is yes.

Graham Philipson · Director of Audio Technology

Simon Gershon · Audio Director, Star Citizen

Yeah, obviously the weight... but feed more into that question.

Phil Peers-Smallwood · Senior Audio Manager

Yeah, we need smarter ways to tie into that context. So you get the whole kind of brownout, whiteout, hovering experience, but in a way in which it's not paralyzing if loads of people decide to hover around where you are in an outpost or whatever, and it's just completely dominating. So we need to be smart about how we do it, but you absolutely want to hear the weight and presence of that above you. Plus the war horns.
