Has cargo on ships been factored into the flight model, like an empty Caterpillar versus a Caterpillar full of titanium?

Richard TowlerVehicle Experience Product Owner

Yes, it has. We've built a small buffer into the ship's atmosphere. So if you've got a ship like the Caterpillar, it's not quite at the limit in its base state, so it can carry some weight, but it will be planetary dependent as well. So it is quite close to it, and you add more weight to it, let's say, you may struggle to take off on some planets with this. So you'd have to use the afterburner or use a different method to take off. And that also increases the importance of VTOL ships that can carry as well. So they'll have an advantage on some planets where maybe they can carry more extra weight.
