Does [the atmospheric flight change for transforming ships] extend to things like opening cargo doors? Will it affect the flight performance of a ship if you open up every single door on both sides of the Caterpillar? Does it handle differently than if they were closed?

Richard TowlerVehicle Experience Product Owner

So it doesn't currently, but this is something we've talked about with doors and also landing gear as well. Now we've got the system, we can build in these bespoke effects. So if you take off and you leave your landing gear down, that's going to cause drag. If you take off and you leave a door open, that can cause drag. So it's just a question of how we implement this across all the ships. But that is definitely something we've talked about. It's definitely something that's going to come in a future release.

Yeah, something like the Carrack or even the Starlifter that can open up the front door and the rear door and just let a whole bunch of air pass through underneath it.

John CreweVehicle Director

Yeah, that's not going to fly well. I wouldn't want to be inside it when that happens.
