Yeah, so basically it's a bit like the difference between the Starfarer and the Starfarer Gemini. The civilian variant of the Starlifter is medium armor, but the other ones, military and gunship, are heavy armor. So you will feel the difference. It has more guns, but also more armor. So it's not just like one more gun and a bit less cargo. It's a ship for, well, if you have some ships attacking you, you will still be able to defend yourself longer than a civilian variant.
