It's not just because it's a bartender; bartenders represent what we want vendor behavior to be for our NPCs. Can you talk a little bit about why this is important?

TL;DRBartender work, covering usable routing, menus, patrons, liquids and animation, is meant to establish vendor behavior reusable for weapon vendors, possibly mission givers, and shared with Squadron 42.

There's basically usable channel routing, the way that the bartenders select what they're going to do and how they're going to do it. There's the menu system, that's basically where we bring up the inner thought and how that connects into the stores. There's obviously the patrons and how they react to it. Then there's liquids, and basically the pouring of liquids and making sure that that stuff looks right. Then there's the way that the bartenders actually go in and out of usables, and in the future it'll be motion matching that will help that. So there's a lot of intricacies that happen with basically the bartender as well as the bar patrons that have taken time to get right.

And the virtue of all that is that it's not just to make a bartender. It's to make our weapon vendors. Aspects of that can be applied to mission givers at some point.

It's just vendors in general. Basically, we have an S42 rep, so when we're developing these things, we're looking at what's needed in S42. So there's correlation between both projects on this thing, making sure it's done right.
