Why does the Hurricane, according to ATV, now have a laser-based loadout even though the original concept was stated to rely on ballistics due to a comparatively weak power plant?

So it still has a comparatively weak power plant. I was talking with the guys who were on that ATV earlier today because I saw this question in the thread and didn't want to cross wires. That was just something they were playing around with in that ATV. The stock loadout that will come with 3.2 is all ballistics. You can swap them out for lasers if you want. There's nothing stopping you from doing that. If you run all lasers on everything, it's going to suffer. You can probably just get away with having all lasers on the turret and ballistics on the ship itself. But ballistics is what it's designed for.
