So the Merlins, the Archimedes, the 85Xs and so on, do you consider them full spacecraft in their own right?

I consider them full spacecraft. They serve a particular subset of a role, so the ones that are fighters are there for that deterrence and defense. The ones that are racers, they're great racers in their size of craft. If you brought an Archimedes against a souped-up M50, you're probably not going to win unless something bad happens to the M50. The 85X is a great little two-person runabout. If all you want to do is cart you and a friend around between relatively local destinations, it's great. It's not a Starliner. It's like comparing apples and oranges.
