Who influences you when working with lore? What type of things influence you, whether it's Star Wars or anything like that?asked by Topsoc66

It's all over the map. I was always a Star Wars guy, but I read a lot of fantasy. I love film noir. Again, the beautiful thing about this in general is there's the capacity to have so many different genres and be able to pull in so many different influences and stuff like that. The Kid Crimson short stories were very, very heavily influenced by the Dashiell Hammett Continental Op short stories and stuff like that. Normally you wouldn't get to cite a 1940s mystery writer as a sci-fi influence.
