It's not that we haven't begun the work of server meshing. Things like OCS were precursors to this, things like serialized variables.
TL;DRServer meshing groundwork like object container streaming has been underway for about three years, implementation is due to start soon and continue this year, but no date is given.
All the work that people talk about has all been done to make sure this works. Without this, it doesn't work. So if you want to say when server meshing work started, it started three years ago. This has been planned for a long time. And so you have to do all these optimizations and make all these changes to code. And then, as you said, object container streaming is a big one, because the server has to tie in with that, because we have to know what's been loaded and when, depending on where you are, and all that kind of stuff as well. So all that works up. And what's happening now is we're at that stage where finally we're doing the last assessment so we can actually start the implementation of the servers talking together for all this stuff. And that is the process which is going to start very soon, and which we'll be working on this year.
Are you sure I can't convince you to give me a date?
Unfortunately, no dates. Obviously, we'll push on it, but on that one, once again, it'll be nice to have a surprise.
