We put things out while they're still being worked on, and a lot of times the reaction is: couldn't we have had another week or two to dial that in? Does that drive you crazy? Is that just part of who we are?

TL;DRThe speakers say shipping unfinished-feeling work is exhilarating, they always wish for one more week of polish, but endless refinement would mean nothing ever releases.

Zane BienUI developer/programmer/designer

No, for me, I guess it's quite exhilarating in a way, but I always wish there was just one more week. Just let me play around a little bit more with the materials. Let me put some animation in and make it a little more polished, or more feedback. Like right now, I need to put in the routing feedback. So when you press R, right now it silently fails and you're like, why isn't it doing anything? So if you have that, it's just a small bit that makes it feel a bit more polished.

And then when you fix that, there's another thing you think, oh, it'd be cool if we put this in as well. It never ends.

Gabriel HectorSystems Designer, Manchester

There's another thing. You can always keep improving, and that's just the process of design, right? So if we kept adding this one more week all the time, we would just be driven insane, and nothing would ever release.
