Are there any plans for variable planet rotation speeds, obliquity, axial tilt, orbit, eccentricity and atmosphere makeup or lack thereof?
TL;DRPlanet orbits could be turned on but would make quantum travel very difficult, most other orbital variations are possible pending design and lore, and axial tilt for seasons can be enabled without other systems.
As far as our side goes for planet orbiting, it could be turned on, but it's going to make quantum traveling anywhere very difficult because the system isn't set up for that as far as we know. In terms of more complex orbit, most of those things are totally possible with the systems that we have in place. We would depend on design and lore to explain maybe why we want some of those things. But yes, one of the things that we do need to do, of course, is axial tilt to match our seasons. The seasons are going to be coming and actually we don't need to wait, unlike orbit, we don't need to wait for any other system to turn on seasons. We could turn on the seasons and just have it know where the tilt would be, even if we can't tilt or move the planets yet. So that is dependent on us finishing out that stuff and finishing out the content in terms of making it look right and so on. But yeah, very excited for this sort of stuff to come online when it does.
