Had you worked in another game studio before this?

TL;DRAhmed Shaker had not worked at a game studio before, only had one gaming client in Egypt, but long admired how games are made and was attracted by the brilliant colleagues and the game's lore.

No, I just had one of my clients back in Egypt that was a gaming studio, and it was like one out of 35 clients. But again, there has always been that fascination with gaming and how games are being made. I still remember being very young and sitting after the end of every game to read the credits. And there has always been the aspect that you do not see as many guys with a name like mine in the credits. So it was also another interesting bet: how can I navigate that world? How can I make it there? And still till now, one of the most rewarding areas of working, especially now that I was here attending a summit, is you get to work with brilliant minds. You were relating our field to the medical field. I think it's a very, very good analogy. So we have brain surgeons, we have heart surgeons, we have cancer research guys, and it's a great privilege to work in a shop that really cares about computer science and gets to use the magic of that science in so many areas, and then you get to have the art on top of it. And in our case, the lore of the game is fascinating, to see how it relates to human civilization in different areas, how it relates to some World War II style, how it relates to old civilizations that clashed. So I don't want to sound cheesy, but it's very hard not to sell our project to anybody else. It's one of a kind. So it was not hard for me: once I saw the job posting, I said, this is the one that I'm going to put all my effort in the cover letter, and here we are.
