How do you manage wanting something to look as giant and dynamic and as crazy and as detailed as possible with knowing you might create some heartburn for others?
Mike Snowdon · VFX Director

I think, at least for me, it just comes with experience. I sort of intrinsically know not to use too many lights for an effect. You just use as few as you can. And it's the same for the particles, everything. Just use as few as you possibly can whilst retaining the high quality expectations. So I can honestly say I've not really had the conversation with Chris Campbell, like, 'Hey dude, am I using too many lights? Are we stealing from your budget?' I think he'd let me know if we were. I'm sure he would.
