Thrust reduction in atmosphere didn't make it into 3.8. What are your future plans for atmospheric flight?
David Colson · Vehicle Experience Programmer

So part of the reason why it didn't make it into 3.8 is that it necessitated this aerodynamic change. We did it and we played it and we were like, okay, the ship kind of flies a little wacky now in atmosphere. So we need to go back and revisit how that aerodynamic stuff worked. We've also gone back and expanded the feature a bit. So now the curves work very intricately on each thruster, which makes the tuning a little bit more time-consuming to do, but it means that at some point in the future, if we ever allow you to change the thrusters on a ship, then you could have a different efficiency curve, for example, and the ship would react to that.
