What happened to the fourth Zeus variant? It was briefly shown during CitizenCon 2953, and it was apparently called the Zeus Mk II ST.

TL;DRA fourth Zeus variant, the ST, exists but was held back because its game loop isn't fleshed out; they'll discuss it once it is, and try not to push ships lacking gameplay.

I do, because a fun story here is I put the wrong image in the PowerPoint slide for the presentation, and I noticed that on stage when I turned around and looked at the screen. And it had all four there. So yes, there is a fourth variant called the ST. And the reason it isn't really known about beyond there is it has a game loop that isn't really fully fleshed out. So we decided not to launch it with the other three. And when that game loop is more fleshed out, we'll talk more about it.

It's one of those things we try. We don't always succeed. Let's just be real honest here. But we try not to push ships that don't have the relevant requisite gameplay at the same time. And when people see a new ship that's added every month, they say, why are they doing another fighter? Why are they doing that? There's a lot of factors that go into that, not the least of which is that fighters sell, let's just be real. But most of the time, when people are like, why aren't you doing this ship or why aren't you putting another ship with us, it's because we're waiting for the gameplay systems to mature before we put more ships out in that loop. Again, it doesn't always work out that way. Sometimes the schedule is the schedule. But wherever we can, we do try to not push ships that don't have the requisite gameplay. Again, there will always be exceptions.
