How do you choose the color scheme for the Showdown paints each year?
TL;DRShowdown paint colors aren't one person's decision; they try to tie them to the event's branding, will decide at a meeting next week, and hope to improve on past choices that worked less well.
Well, we've got a meeting next week to make some decisions on this. It's not necessarily a me or John decision. In more recent years, what we've been trying to do is wrap the whole event into its sort of quite cohesive brand and tie it all together. So you'll notice the colors that the halls were and all the branding in the halls was reflected by the ships. It works great on some. It doesn't necessarily work as well on others. This year, like I say, we've got to meet and discuss next week what we're going to choose. I think we will hopefully have learned a bit from some of the ones that maybe didn't work quite so well, and hopefully make something that everyone, well, it's really subjective, isn't it? Some people are going to love it. Some people are going to hate it no matter what we do. But hopefully it will be more successful as we move forward.
