Are we still going to do that [the battlecruiser from the original crowdfunding stretch goals]?
TL;DRThe Battlecruiser is still planned but only in very early concept work and not coming anytime soon; a concept sale may eventually be needed for it despite the push toward flight-ready releases.
It's looking really, really cool with the progress we've made on it so far. So I think the Battlecruiser, on paper, it's a big old ship. And we are, I hope I'm allowed to say this, we're in very early stages of our concept work on the Battlecruiser at the moment. Too late, Jared. Sorry.
We're going for it now. That's fine. It's not coming this year. It's not coming anytime soon. So just don't want to get anybody's hopes up.
It's a big ship. It needs a bunch of concepts to get it right. Super happy with where it's going so far. I think it allows us to take a lot of the things that we've learned on our existing ships and our larger ships and wrap them into a big powerhouse and deliver something that we're super excited about. Not just in terms of firepower, but what we can deliver from a ship this size with everything that we know now.
It's unlike any of our existing capital ships. I think it's going to be pretty cool.
Trying really hard not to do concept ships anymore. 2025 looks like it's going to be, again, it would be impossible to launch a new concept at this point, so our first year without concept sales. We don't want to do any more concept promotions ever again. We might have to do our last one for the Battlecruiser whenever that comes. Flight ready or bust. Get the old ones that we need to deliver done. Make new ones flight ready and try to avoid concept promotions whenever possible. Realistically, if a Battlecruiser is as big as you're going to say it is, we'll probably have to do that one as a concept at some point. But we'll let future us worry about that whenever that day comes down the line. Not anytime soon.
