Would it be possible to display distance on the mission before we accept it?
Luke Pressley · Lead Designer, Mission Feature Team

Yeah, these missions are kind of calculated before you accept them, so it's possible to do that. Now, I would argue that distance is not always actually useful. There are far too many zeros on these things for you to figure out or to use that yourself. So I would say time might be better. But if we just did a crow-flies time, that's so misleading. It would take you through the sun or whatever. What we'd really want to do is tie it into the quantum travel system, so we would see where you are and figure out how long it would take you to get there. And I guess the question is then, is that the time in your specific ship, or the time of the slowest member of your party if you were to link, or do we just take an average?

Jared Huckaby · Host, Community

An average of how often you're going to get interdicted on that route.

Luke Pressley · Lead Designer, Mission Feature Team

Well, I definitely wouldn't take that necessarily into account. But the speed that your ship can do this. Do we just take an average speed and let players eventually get to a feel of that?
