Will the new environment temperatures and wind features affect thruster performance?
Richard TowlerVehicle Experience Product Owner
Yes. So the actual wind affects the flight of the ship. So it balances the thrusters. So the thrusters have to counter the kind of torque that the wind produces on the ship. And also these thrusters are affected by the atmosphere. And this depends on where you are in the atmosphere, the height. So it varies depending on the planet or moon you're on. So if you go down to Lorville, for example, the thrusters are working about 58% efficiency, 56% efficiency. Whereas on a smaller moon, they're working much more towards 85% of the actual total capacity of the thrusters. So you are going to feel a difference depending on where you are in the atmosphere and how thick it is, which creates a really unique feel for each kind of planet, really.
