We know how wind affects flight in atmosphere, and we know gravity will affect it. How big a factor is temperature in the atmospheric flight of ships? Will it affect things like the overheating of ship components at all? Does it change anything about air resistance?
John Crewe · Vehicle Director

In 3.10, it isn't a factor, but it is something that we want to do. If you fly your ship down to an ice planet and you leave it there turned off for a few hours and you come back to it, its boot-up time to the point it can operate will take longer. If you're flying on a lava volcano planet somewhere in Pyro, you are going to overheat quicker than you would in deep space. So we do plan for that to have an effect, but in 3.10 it doesn't. I don't know if the current temperatures affect the pressure on the planets. That's not really our area, but if it does affect the pressure, then it will affect the handling.
