We've had a mission or two in the past where a vehicle was actually provided to do the mission. Could one of these cargo missions be like, 'I've got the ship, it's all loaded, I just don't have a pilot to fly it for me'? Do we have a space for something like that?

Jorrit de LochtMission Designer

This is something that I actually spoke about with some other designers, and we decided to not do that this time because there are a lot of different kinds of considerations that come with that. For example, what if you damaged a ship? Currently that would probably get you a CrimeStat because you're damaging somebody else's vehicle, just like you would do another player. Would you have to deliver that vehicle back to the owner in some way? That adds a whole bunch of different steps and considerations for the law system.

You could rent the ship if you didn't own the ship.

That's essentially what it is. It's just a question of, you basically have the mission giver rent you the ship, so it is yours during the time being.
