When we started work on Object Container Streaming three years ago, what were we trying to achieve?

The main concern has always been trying to fit Star Citizen onto a player's computer. Obviously servers tend to be a lot more powerful than the domestic user's computer, so having all this expansive solar system, all the planets, all the locations, all the ships loaded in all the time is just not possible. Not without masses and masses of memory, which is much more than your typical user is going to have. So the primary concern is just making the game fit, breaking it up into smaller chunks that can fit on each player's PC.
