Is this real? Is this a real election? Is the voting that begins tomorrow a real thing? And will we honor the winner no matter who people vote for? Will we actually take the universe in the direction of this new Imperator?

That's the idea. Again, we didn't want a Boaty McBoatface in there, because people would do it, if nothing else, just to see.
To touch more on what Dave said, we wanted Imperator candidates who were strong-ass characters, who had very clear personalities that shone through, and who would have policies that the community could get behind that would affect the story in a very real way.
Yeah, and just to add into that, like I was saying, it was a very collaborative process, from specifying how we wanted the election to go, drawing out the characters, Cherie adding a spin when doing the Galactapedia. So we've been slowly specifying and trying to enrich the world. And I guess with this election, we're essentially asking the backers to help us make a decision as to which direction to take and what lens to help frame the events that are going to occur over the next few years. Is it going to be through a Costigan lens or is it going to be through an Addison lens? So we're hoping that you guys are going to direct us in what way we help drive some things going forward.
