For anybody who maybe doesn't know what the actor status system is, can you give us a real quick rundown of what it's designed to do for Star Citizen?
TL;DRThe actor status system makes the player and NPCs affected by conditions like hunger and cleanliness, started with breathing and stamina, and is built out a bit further with each patch.
Well, it's basically [...] not only the player, all the actors, the NPCs, AI, everything, whether social or friendly or enemies, feel. Basically, a guy that's been starved of food for one week is going to be pretty weak at combat. He's going to have little stamina. He won't be able to run much. If you feed your troops well and if they're happy and if they're clean and all that stuff, they'll behave differently from someone that's been left in a desert for a week and didn't have the required things. This entire actor status system kind of started when we first implemented the breathing part and the stamina and how g-forces affect stamina and the actor, and then it slowly evolved to incorporate anything that can influence the actor positively or negatively in the game.
And with every patch, we make progress towards building that system out. Even if something's not a direct improvement to the actors, the addition of something like harvestables is another step towards that direction of improving that system and making that system more robust and more capable.
