How much storage space is needed for one game instance?

It's the same way as when it comes to the Windows build and Linux build: there's a difference in size, right? But the difference in size is not that big of a deal. The data file, the P4K file that everyone has, I have to have it on my servers too, so we can stream all these static files in and out and make the game server run. So it's very close to how much you download to run your client.
