So who works on these things? This isn't something that vehicle artists do, or somebody who makes a distribution center for the environment team. Who are the people that are actually doing this work? Who's changing to do this stuff?
Benoit Beausejour · Chief Technology Officer

So it's, again, engineering, right? That has a large focus on stability and performance. But also, we have a team, an online team, that takes care of what we call site reliability. So these guys are definitely the first watchers of all these metrics. And these guys will call out issues that we need to solve, right? They will loop in engineers. And so that's the core of the people working on this. But I kind of want to push back on what you just said about, oh, the guys on the ship team don't have to do performance, right? Sometimes the way things are made in the game has a very big impact on performance. I can give examples, but areas of levels that are created with hundreds of entities instead of using a bare minimum. Or there's techniques to use, where group merging certain objects helps reduce the actual effective size of things. So the teams on content are also kind of on the hook for performance, and less so on stability, but they're on the hook for performance. And so they're not totally free, but they are less in the line of fire, because typically an engineer is needed to identify a problem first and then it might reach a content team depending on what the issue is.
