What are we looking at here, Paul? [early Valkyrie interior concept]
TL;DRThe early Valkyrie interior was a basic dropship layout built from the original brief, but after review it was reworked to add beds and crew quarters, making a more versatile ship that can stay on the surface.
So this is an early development of the interiors and this was partly based off the initial design brief. We had those two remote gunners for the turrets that are on the wings. We had the remote stations upstairs and it was quite a basic interior. It was a dropship so we really didn't put too much into it. But it was after our first review and Mr. Roberts got a good old look at it and he was like, no, it needs some beds and it needs some quarters for the crew. So that was when we did a bit of a shift. We jigged some shapes. But I think it makes a much more versatile ship.
Yeah, this thing can come down. It's got a huge amount of guns on it. So it's got five, one top, one bottom, two remotes on the wings, two door guns, plus a pair of guns for the pilot to use. So this thing can put out a huge amount of fire. We've got this crew manning this stuff, so we might as well, if they've come to drop 20 guys off in a vehicle, they might not want to go straight back up to orbit. So let's give them some ability to stay down on the surface for a while.
Yeah, it makes a much better ship.
