Are there any updates regarding the performance of the universe? When can we expect higher GPU usage and overall FPS?

2.1.1 has a number of fixes, specifically to the CPU issue.

Some things are bugs, like the CPU issue we saw recently, the frame rate drops people saw with the Constellation and when AI spawn and stuff. That stuff will get fixed much earlier. General performance enhancements and everything, that happens much later in the process.
