Any update on escape pods or ejection seats with parachutes?

I keep bugging Rich Tyrer about parachutes or jetpack fall arrest systems, because it's really annoying that if you have to eject, you might as well have just stayed in your ship and died anyway, because you're probably going to die from hitting the floor.
