Has the FPS weapons team considered adding a futuristic bullpup rifle, like the RM227, QBZ95 or FAMAS, to the FPS arsenal, given the P4-CQB seen in early game files?asked by JYWLX712

Speaking only from an animation stand point this would be tricky, but not impossible. For our 2-handed weapons, I believe the distance from the end of the stock to the pistol grip is the same across all the weapons. This allows us to share animations. The only change is the left hand and where it grips the upper receiver.
A bullpup weapon changes this arrangement, so we would have to figure out what the downstream impacts of that would be. They could be significant.

Are there any plans to improve FPS animations, which have looked clunky for a decade?asked by raull_127

the Bad Guy pew-pew animations are updated and improved fairly regularly, but I'm guessing that on the PU you're seeing some issues with the behaviour/playback of those animations. There are things we are working on to improve the fluidity and performance of enemies reacting to initial combat scenarios, moving in and out of cover positions, firing from those locations, reloading, navigating tight corners and hallways, weapon selection, accuracy... lots of stuff. I'm guessing that some of it stays internal while further testing goes on. Some of those fixes require coordinating with multiple other teams before it can go out the door.
