How does the power triangle relate to master modes? As an example, NAV mode does not even have weapons or shields available, so does the power triangle just not do anything in NAV mode?
TL;DRThe power triangle still works in NAV mode: weapons and shields stay powered and regenerate, shields into a buffer that refills the faces uninterruptibly on return to SCM, though the lower NAV regeneration rate may not stay.
It does. Actually, there's a misconception that the shields and weapons are powered off. They are powered on, because while you're in NAV mode, they're still regenerating. They're just not effective or active, so to speak. So, as I said, the only thing that we currently have in is that when you're in NAV mode, the regeneration rates of your weapons and shields are a little bit lower. But whether we keep that or not is a different question. So your guns still regenerate ammunition. Your shields are not regenerating into your shield faces, they're regenerating into a buffer. But when you're swapping back from NAV mode to SCM, that buffer is then filling up the shield faces quite quickly, and when this happens, that process cannot be interrupted by any hits. So when you come out and the spool time is over, you have the full shield strength available to you.
