There's always this delicate alchemy of how much time we spend creating the ability and how much time we spend creating the content within the ability. How does that balance between the two of you?

TL;DRDesigning systems takes only a few hours of discussion, but filling them with content is the harder part, as the team is constantly juggling a flood of content and quick context switches.

Well, designing the actual systems that we're going to be working on, we can do that in a couple of hours of us having a meeting and bashing our heads together and thinking. It's like theoretical physics versus actually doing something in a lab. To that end, you can come up with it in a finite amount of time, and then it's finding the time to fill out those systems with the content, or something comes up and you have to switch context really quickly, which happens frequently. So we're always wrestling with the oncoming tide of content that we have in this game. But coming up with the systems is very iterative. So we might talk about something at length on a Monday and then I run over to Corentin's desk on a Thursday and say, actually, I've had an idea, and wouldn't it be cool if? And then he says no, and tells me why we can't do that.
