What tech is needed for the Merlin to dock with the Connie? Is it Landing 2.0 tech or something else?

Landing 2.0 is accurately called Landing Pad 2.0, which is something completely different. As far as the exact tech needed for that, I'm not privy to the exact details, but I know it's being worked on.
