John Crewe · Vehicle Pipeline DirectorI'm not going to commit to anything either way there because we've not started work on it. We want to do a bit more concept work on it with the lessons we learned from the Defender. For its size, I wouldn't be surprised if it has less than that cargo capacity. Similar case with the Carrack when it went down from 1000 to 480 or 450-odd. We've learned a lot since those early days. The metrics have changed. That's a lot of cargo. It will probably go down because the other way, of just making the ship bigger to fit that... it's already pretty big. So it's already like 160 meters in two axes, which is, at this point, the widest ship we have because of those wings. If we start making it bigger lengthways to fit that in, then it's going to be humongous. And then you lose the benefits. Again, for the same reasons we tried to keep the Carrack at the same size: you make those ships huge, you limit where they can go, and it's a mobile trading outpost. It needs to be more compact to fit places.
