When you narrow that angle, can you then also angle that around the ship, or does it always reduce to the front and you have to turn your ship?

You can, but yes, you turn the ship to do that. I think what we'll be able to do is for ships that have the ability to have a scanner that's on a gimbal. The Aquila is another one that you'll be able to do these pings and scans directionally without having to turn the entire ship. That's the whole point of that.
