You've used the term support a few times. Go deeper. What is supporting these people like? What does supporting people mean?

TL;DRSupporting people means emotional intelligence and being there for developers dealing with stress, including offering a shoulder to cry on or vent, which Jake Ross says is what separates great producers from okay ones.

Yeah, well, I mean, you kind of joke about that. But when you talk about those three pillars, right, I'd also say that the foundation undergirding all of those three pillars is people. Part of what separates the okay producers from the great producers, I think, is that aspect. It's managing and being able to have the emotional intelligence to understand people. A lot of what we do is some of that. There is stress that is involved with game development. There's a lot of range of emotions. I have literally had a tissue box in my office because I would have a developer come and talk to me. He was struggling with various things, some work-related, some not. That was, I think, something that I was very happy to do: have somebody who needs a shoulder to cry on or needs to vent or something like that. As we go through the day-to-day life, we have to remember these are people that we're talking about here, and that is a motivation of mine and one of the reasons why I went into production, because I love working with people and talking with people and helping people to be their best self.
